Off we go on the ferry from Victoria to Port Angeles, Washington.
I enjoyed the ride on deck while Tom stayed below with the dogs.
Here's a shot from the ferry of the harbor taxi we took yesterday. I love the mini taxi.

On the road again
First stop... a view of Mount Baker
Then on to Hurricane Ridge
At an elevation of about 5,200 feet, Hurricane Ridge is a year-round destination. In summer, visitors come for views of the Olympic Mountains, as well as for hiking. During the winter months, visitors come for downhill skiing and snowboarding.
Hurricane Ridge is named for its intense gales and winds. The weather in the Olympic Mountains is unpredictable, and signs warned that visitors should be prepared for snow at any time of year.
Doesn't this look like an RV ad?
On to Olympic National Park camping area, Mora.
Just inland is the Mora area, characterized by towering trees, lush undergrowth and the roar of the Pacific Ocean in the background.
We set up camp and then headed to the Rialto Beach.
The wild natural beach was beautiful. Rocky beaches, giant drift logs, pounding waves and views of offshore islands known as 'seastacks' are features that define Rialto Beach.
Black pebble beach, black dogs...a dream come true.
